The North Slope Borough Police Department is based in Barrow. The police officers in Barrow patrol the 27 miles of road in town. The officers also do all of their own investigative work for cases in town.


The crime rate is fairly low in Barrow. Although there are no roads leading out of town, the police do respond to the occasional car theft.
